Full acquittal in a felony sexual assault case brought by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office. The case involved a secretly recorded tape obtained through questionable police tactics that was admitted at trial. The client, who was facing jail and lifetime sex offender registration, was voted not guilty. Justice was served.
Bench trial acquittal for defendant charged with assaulting police officers and obstructing governmental administration in violation of P.L. § 195.05 for refusing police entry into her home to search for her son.

Avoided criminal charges for client who was arrested for reckless endangerment due to failure to disclose HIV status to a sexual partner. After negotiating with the New York County District Attorney’s Office and supplying relevant law and medical information regarding the transmission of HIV, charges were never brought.
Associate counsel on capital case charging defendant with homicide and racketeering in Puerto Rico and the SDNY. After filing submission with Central Justice, received a no-seek on the death penalty.

Represented plaintiff teacher in employment discrimination matter against school for revoking employment based on teacher’s sexual orientation. Negotiated favorable settlement prior to any filings.
Represented plaintiffs in federal lawsuit for excessive force and constitutional claims during the execution of a search warrant in the home of a mentally disabled adult.
Pro Bono asylum representation of Sierra Leonean family from December 2014 to October 2017.
Represented defendant charged with 21 U.S.C. § 841 narcotics conspiracy, and use and carrying of firearms during a drug trafficking crime, 18 U.S.C. § 924(c), in the SDNY. Won severance motion and motion to preclude prior conviction under 404(b). Defendant was acquitted at jury trial and walked out of building, after having been incarcerated 3 ½ years in the MDC Brooklyn pre-trial.

Negotiated with New York County District Attorney’s Office to obtain full dismissal of robbery charges against Pedicab driver.
